Formed in Melbourne’s inner south-east, Heavy Choir is Australia’s only dedicated choir for people who love singing heavy metal and rock. We began in April 2021 and have since grown a genuinely connected and welcoming community of adult singers of all abilities, and presented sold out shows to the wider community, including the iconic Chapel Off Chapel and Memo Music Hall.

Heavy Choir is a purpose-led performing arts organisation, with a vision to unite metalheads from all walks of life in harmony. 

 

Our mission is to amplify the wellbeing benefits of singing heavy metal together: we strive to do this by creating fun and inclusive choral communities for metalheads and misfits to experience and participate in, while engaging a wider community audience through our events across Victoria.
