Formed in Melbourne’s inner south-east, Heavy Choir is Australia’s only dedicated choir for people who love singing heavy metal and rock. We began in April 2021 and have since grown a highly cohesive and welcoming community of adult singers of all abilities, and presented sold out shows to nostalgic fans of heavy metal. 

 

Heavy Choir is a for-purpose performing arts organisation, with a vision to unite metalheads from all walks of life in harmony. 

 

Our mission is to amplify the wellbeing benefits of singing heavy metal together, by creating fun and inclusive choral communities for all metalheads and misfits across Melbourne and beyond.
